All border crossings with Serbia, North Macedonia, and Greece are operating with normal traffic, according to the General Directorate „Border Police“ – Ministry of Interior. Traffic at the crossings with Romania is running smoothly, with the exception of the Svishtov – Zimnice and Oryahovo – Bechet ferry links, which have suspended operations due to the low water level of the Danube River.
The distribution of vehicles is as follows:
- Minibuses and light vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons are moving through „Rudozem“, „Zlatograd“, „Makaza“, and „Ivaylovgrad“;
- Light vehicles, buses, and trucks are passing through „Kulata“, „Ilijden“, and „Kapitan Petko Voyvoda“.
As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, traffic at the „Kapitan Andreevo“ and „Lesovo“ border control points is heavy, the agency reported in an update on its website. High traffic volume is expected at the outbound lanes for trucks heading toward Turkey.
