Parliament could not hold its emergency session today because no quorum was reached, speaker Mihaela Dotsova said. MPs registered twice, 15 minutes apart, and both times the count was 112.
MPs from Democratic Bulgaria (DB) and PP asked for the session. On 20 October, DB's press office said the party wanted it held on Thursday, 22 October, and that signatures to call it would be collected the next day.

The second item was to hear explanations of the pardons of Ognyan Atanasov, who is linked to drug trafficking, and Dinko Stefanov Gospodinov, known as "Dinko the Madman".
The first time, 32 MPs from Progressive Bulgaria were in the chamber, along with 29 from GERB-SDS, 18 each from DPS and DB, 14 from PP and one from Vazrazhdane. On the second try, 28 MPs from Progressive Bulgaria registered, with 29 from GERB-SDS, 21 from DPS, 18 from DB, 15 from PP and one from Vazrazhdane.
Two earlier emergency sessions on Atanasov's pardon, set for 13 and 21 October, also had no quorum.
