Bulgaria's National Social Security Institute (NOI) says November pensions will be paid at post offices from 6 to 20 November. Payments to bank accounts will arrive on 6 November. Unemployment benefits will be paid on 16 November.
Every post office has its payment schedule on display. Pensioners with bank accounts get their money there.
On 3 November, NOI will pay all eligible people their October benefits for pregnancy and childbirth, for raising a child up to the age of two, and for adopting a child up to the age of five.
If the 7th is not a working day, pension and supplement payments start on the previous working day. The same goes for the 20th, when payments end. The rule comes from changes to the pensions and insurance record ordinance that took effect at the end of July. It will also apply in November.
NOI updates details of all its payments to insured people and pensioners every month in the "Payment calendar" section of its website.
NOI said a few days ago that it had recalculated 356,079 pensions automatically from 1 April 2026. That is 7,622 fewer than in 2025, when the number was 363,701.
