Bulgaria's minimum wage will rise to €660 a month from 1 January 2027, under a government proposal.
The National Council for Tripartite Cooperation (NCTC) meets from 9:30am in the Granite Hall of the Council of Ministers, and the proposal is on its agenda, the press office said. The draft decree was put up for public comment a few days ago.
The agenda has nine items. They include tax law, the decree on the minimum wage, and changes to the Accountancy Act, the Act on Independent Financial Audit and Sustainability Assurance, and the Gambling Act.
Deputy finance minister Lyudmila Petkova presented the tax and revenue package for 2027 at the end of September. She said the aim is steady growth in budget revenue, including a smaller share of the grey economy through better tax collection.
The council last met on 12 October. Representatives of the government, trade unions and employers discussed a draft decree of the Council of Ministers to amend the Ordinance on the Structure and Organisation of Pay.
