Nine kilometers of road between the villages of Studena and Sladun will be renovated by December 2026, with an investment of 5,333,710 euros. The project is part of the municipal road network.
An agreement has been signed with the MRRB to provide non-reimbursable funding for the project in accordance with the State Budget Act. The technical plan involves laying 50 cm of crushed stone base, upon which two 10 cm layers of asphalt concrete will be constructed.
Construction activities include the building of new road shoulders and ditches, as well as a new pipe drainage system, while existing drains will be cleaned and repaired. To ensure safety along the section, road signs will be replaced and new road markings will be applied.
Mayor Arch. Anastas Karchev is participating in the official opening of the school year in the village of Levka, where the renovated building of the "Hristo Botev" Primary School was also presented.
Other current municipal activities include:
- The renovation of the central square in the village of Momkovo, carried out with municipal funds;
- The renewal of the vehicle fleet of the Municipal Enterprise "Landscaping and Greening" through the acquisition of a new excavator;
- The replacement of street lighting on the section between Svilengrad and the "Kap. Petko Voyvoda" district.
