Bulgaria is no longer on the "grey list" for money laundering, prime minister Rumen Radev said in a statement today.

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) removed the country from the list at a plenary meeting in Paris. Justice minister Nikolay Naydenov informed the prime minister.

Getting off the list was a top priority in the government's programme.

"For the first time, a Bulgarian government has a special section in its programme on dismantling the oligarchic model and fighting corruption, and it is the very first section," Radev said.
